This Sunday I’ll be riding my motorcycle like a gentleman. I’ll be participating in the worldwide Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is all about riding dapper, having fun and raising awareness for men’s health issues. There’s a fund raising component too, so if you feel so inclined, please click the link below and drop a penny or dollar in my virtual fundraising hat.

Next time you ask yourself if you can do something or if you should be more careful, ask ‘what would Fred Beckey do?’ instead.
I first heard this album on NPR’s Firs Listen a few weeks ago. Ever since then I’ve been obsessed with Bombino’s music. It’s too bad I don’t understand his lyrics, but as the cliche goes: the music speaks for itself. The album cover is pretty awesome too, wheelie-ing a vintage motorcycle in the desert with a stratocaster and a cape pretty much ticks all the boxes.
Ok, so it took until April, and it’s still a work in progress, but the 2013 version of Made by Fred is now live… Please bear with me as I work out the kinks and update the Projects section.
Big Sur has been near the top of my ‘places to visit’ list for a while now. This video didn’t do anything to change that, but it did make me long for a sidecar motorcycle. Maybe I could even ride through the long Vermont winter if I had three wheels?
Tonight the third season of Game of Thrones starts. If it’s been a while since you saw season one and two, you might want to refresh your memory with this beautifully illustrated guide. Actually, anyone who watches Game of Thrones could probably use a little extra guidance.
